- No account or sign-up required — you can use the app immediately without providing any personal information.
- No analytics or tracking — we do not use any third-party analytics or behavioral tracking tools.
- Currency preferences — your selected currencies and settings are stored locally on your device only and never transmitted to us.
- Cached exchange rates — rate data fetched for offline use is stored locally and expires after 24 hours.
2. How We Use Your Information
Because we do not collect personal data, there is nothing for us to use. The app's sole purpose is to provide you with fast, accurate currency conversions. All functionality runs locally on your device.
3. Data Storage & Security
All data generated by your use of RateSwap — including your currency preferences and cached exchange rates — is stored locally on your device. We have no access to this data and it is never transmitted to our servers.
Exchange rate data is fetched from our rate provider over an encrypted connection (HTTPS/TLS) but no personal identifiers are sent as part of these requests.
4. Third-Party Services
RateSwap fetches exchange rate data from a third-party rates provider. This request does not include any personally identifiable information. No other third-party SDKs, advertising networks, or analytics services are embedded in the app.
5. Children's Privacy
RateSwap is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages. Because we collect no personal data, there is no risk of inadvertent data collection from children.
6. Your Rights
Since we do not collect or store any personal data on our end, there is no personal data for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf. You remain in full control of any data stored locally on your device — simply deleting the app removes all locally stored data.
